The Fibonacci sequence

A few weeks ago we had a lesson on the Fibonacci sequence, it is a sequence of numbers that I find hard to explain and make sense in a sentence. Basically you add the first two numbers of the sequence to get the next, here is the number pattern: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34.. and so on. You can create a spiral with these numbers and the spiral is found within nature creepily but it is also found within art; artists such as Da Vinci used this spiral in his paintings to make them look easier on the human eye. When you use the spiral within paintings, photography, architecture or layout it has a weird way of making everything within the design harmonise with each other and making it look better in our eyes.
I found it confusing at first to understand but once I researched more I realised how much it can influence you in your own work.
